Feeling tired

Jurina woke up and stretched, feeling tired. Tiredness was common these days, ever since she had succeeded; she had been so busy with promos, events, interviews…everyone wanting to know the first person to ever succeed the legendary ace of SKE48.

As such, she hadn’t had much time to spend with her friends, and she was determined to do that on a rare off-day in her schedule.

She had been told that the schedule would loosen up as the hype over succession started to fade, but it still gave her a bit of a headache - she’d always been a laid back person who could deal with multiple things at once if needed to, but this was on a totally different level.

She grabbed the first girl who had the misfortune to pass her in the hallway, and latched onto her. “Hiya, won’t you spend some time with Ju~rina today~?”

Succession Concert!

Miyuki nervously tugged at her collar, trying in vain to straighten it out in front of the mirror. Other members walked past her, congratulating her on her succession - but only she knew who she was going to succeed at this point in time. And she intended to keep that a secret until the big announcement.

‘Although my closer friends probably already would’ve guessed by now…’ Miyuki thought, thinking of her roommates.

She tugged at the collar again, and gave up. Noone was going to notice anyway.

She could hear the crowd beginning to gather outside, and for the first time in her life…She felt nervous before a performance. There had never been one before that had specially been for her - it was always as 0048, with no central figure (unless you counted Chieri, obviously). But this was different. Tonight, it was all about her.

Suddenly, she was afraid.

She felt a tap on her shoulder and jumped, squealing as she turned around.

“A-ah…Hi!” she blurted out, her emotions all over her face.

Miyuki with a fever! Could it be…?

Miyuki woke up, feeling strangely unwell. It was rare of her to catch something and to fall sick - thanks to her constant exercise, she remained relatively healthy compared to other girls her age. But this…It felt really weird. She was dizzy, and her eyes weren’t focusing on anything. Her entire body felt sluggish and slow, and her headache was…well, bad.

She gritted her teeth, and took a deep breath. ’Get through this, Miyuki. You can get through this.’ She stood up from her bed, an excruciating shock hitting her head just from the movement. ’Come on, Miyuki. To the bathroom, you’ll feel better after a shower.’ One step. The headache got worse. ’One step at a time. You can get there.‘ Another step. Pain.

After what seemed like an eternity, Miyuki reached the bathroom, and staggered inside, stripping off her clothes. She noticed that they were oddly sweaty. Even more so than when she completed a run, or after a practice. ’No time to think about that. Into the shower.’

She stood under the faucet, and closed her eyes as the water ran down over her. The headache had lessened slightly, and she felt as though perhaps…It had faded enough for her to get through the day. Miyuki stumbled out of the shower, and clumsily pulled on her clothes, her hands fumbling with the zips and buttons.

Miyuki staggered out of her dorm room, straightened her back, took a deep breath and put on a smile for her fellow idols. She wasn’t the type who showed her pain, especially not physical pain - having hung out with boys all her young life, showing pain was a sign of weakness. And Miyuki hated being treated as a weak little girl.

She headed to the dining area, her head still throbbing but trying her best to fight through it. She took her usual large amount of food for breakfast, but by then, anyone who knew Miyuki would’ve noticed something was wrong with her. Miyuki barely touched her stack of food, and that was something that noone had ever seen before - usually, she devoured it like a wild animal.

She stood up from the table, ignoring some of the stares she was getting, and headed out for her morning jog. 'I’ll feel better after some fresh air. I just can’t eat without having my run.' Five minutes in, she was weezing and panting, and by then, even Miyuki herself knew this was definitely not ordinary. She had never gotten tired before after a mere five minutes of running - she was the type who could run for hours on end. She knelt down on the ground, breathing hard, and felt a touch on her shoulder. Looking up, she saw the worried face of one of the other girls.

~The Retrostar Concert challenge!~ Miyuki takes her first step!

Miyuki looked in the mirror and patted her face with her hands, trying to calm her nerves. It was her first big concert since joining 0048, and she was determined not to mess it up - especially as she was the center in Oogoe Diamond. She had to do well in that, for the sake of the memory of the original Jurina.

The massive, all-in performance for RIVER had just finished, and Miyuki was all fired up. Even though it was tiring, she felt no exhaustion at the moment - for now, the adrenaline rush was moving her on. She had to get ready for the next song she was set to perform in with the other 78th generation girls, Aruji Naki Sono Koe. Then soon after that…Oogoe Diamond. Her defining moment. It had to be her breakout, she was determined of it.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, getting ready to go somewhere with not many people…She wanted to practice more, even if it was in the middle of a concert right now. Until her next performance, she was determined to practice all the centre moves for Oogoe Diamond, again and again. She wheeled around and headed out the door of the changing room…And bumped into someone.

“O-ow! Sorry about that, I wasn’t concentrating on where I was going! Ah, you are-!”

//outofmiyu: This’ll likely be a short thread, like 1 or 2 replies, as I only want it to last for the duration of the concert. That being said, anyone is welcome to reply, especially those I haven’t RP'ed with yet, or haven’t done so with in a while.

Kojiharu’s last handshake event

Miyuki blinked at herself in the mirror, and splashed her face with some water. This is Kojiharu’s last handshake event before she graduates! Focus, Miyuki! Focus! But it was hard to focus - a lot of things had been on her mind lately. A mind that was usually devoid of anything but food and music.

She swiveled around and walked out of the bathroom into the changing rooms, where several of the other 78th generation girls were getting ready. Miyuki could see that they were all the same as her - nervous, but keen and hopeful. Will I have any fans? Will anyone actually want to shake my hand, or say hi to me? Have I done enough? Miyuki knew that today was supposed to be all about Kojiharu, but she couldn’t help but think of the fact that it wasn’t only Kojiharu’s last handshake event, it was Miyuki's first handshake event. She was just hoping she wasn’t the only one among the 78th generation girls thinking along those lines.

Miyuki opted to go with her usual get-up, not bothering to try and look stunning. She knew that if she had any fans, they would rather see her in her casual wear than all prettied up and looking fake…Or so she hoped. She picked out a pair of short shorts, and put it on over a black tights, then slipped on a simple, loose-fitting t-shirt over that. She put a little more extra effort into her make-up after seeing the effort that the other girls were putting in to look good which made her feel a little underdressed, then walked out of the dorms to stand behind the booth with the other 78th generation girls. She shut her eyes tight as the crowds filtered in, as expected most of them going straight to Kojiharu’s stand. She took a deep breath, opened her eyes, then put on her widest, most inviting smile.

There were some people who passed by the 78th generation kenkyuusei’s booth, but most of them skipped right past her, preferring to go with the more naturally cute girls, like Kaori, Seika, and Tochi. She sighed a bit. Of course. I probably look really out of place here, being so tall and obviously the oldest. And what I’m wearing also sticks out like a sore thumb. Occasionally, someone stopped in front of her - the first time this happened, she almost cried in relief and instead of giving them a handshake, hugged the surprised person instead. After that, it was much easier, and she graciously accepted the people who shook her hand, few as they were. This is for Kojiharu! I can’t be thinking of my own fans right now…This is all for her!

Miyuki nodded to herself, and smiled at the next person who had stopped in front of her. “Thank you so much for coming, and for supporting me! What’s your name?”

Miyuki’s (belated) birthday celebration!

Miyuki woke up and got out of bed, rubbing her eyes. She moaned in distress as she realised what day it was. ‘August the 5th, huh? Guess it’s my birthday…' She trundled down the stairs from her bedroom, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. As always, there was noone there in her house with her, noone to greet her with a 'Happy Birthday!’ or to hug her and wish her all the best. But she was used to it - she had been alone for the past seven years. What did she expect from her 18th birthday, even if it meant that she was a woman now? It wasn’t like her mother was going to miraculously recover. It wasn’t like her father would come back from the dead. She was alone, even on her birthday.

She opened the front door, picking up the presents and cards that she got from the neighbours every year on this day - they would leave them at her door, instead of coming in and celebrating with her. It had been the same for the past seven years. She had always been alone on her birthdays.

But this year, it was different. Miyuki could feel it, and she hoped and prayed that someone, anyone, of her new friends would remember. After all, she was in 0048 now, and it was a family…And family didn’t forget, right?

She walked the short distance from her house to the dorms; she was, as far as she knew, the only one would occasionally leave the dorms at night to sleep in her own bed, as she only lived 10 minutes away. She took a deep breath, and opened the door of the dorm…And found the entrance corridor completely empty. She frowned, feeling that something was off.

She wandered up to her dorm room, hoping to find some of her roommates there, but…still empty. The room next door, also empty. Blinking, she sleepily dragged her feet along to the dining room, hoping to at least get some breakfast there before starting the day. She opened the door to the dining room, and…got a face full of confetti and a loud chorus of 'Happy Birthdays!’ from what appeared the be the entire 0048 group. Miyuki blinked several times rapidly, then broke down in tears of happiness, feeling that she had finally found her family again.

“T-t-thank you, everyone…”
