Some changes to Miyuki’s character

//outofmiyu: So, thanks to some great critique that I got from Paruru/Tochi-mun, I’ve decided to change some things about Miyuki. Whenever she finds herself in an AU now, she’ll be in her KKS costume like always, but it won’t be able to change, the way I’ve done it so far. The thread that will mostly be affected by this will be the one I have with Taiga, and to a lesser extent, Morie’s and Shizuku’s (though I haven’t introduced that bit into those threads just yet, I don’t think).

The crazy, shape-shifting animals are now GONE from Miyuki’s home. The only thread that will be affected by this is the one I have with Rinne, so @Rinne-mun, if you want me to write a new starter and ditch that old thread which was going off in a crazy tangent, just give me a holla ^^ The big cats stay though. Just cause I like big cats ><

Miyuki’s kirara will be removed from her character, and this affects all the threads I currently have running so I’ll try and do it gracefully.

Alberio walks up in his noble garb, and bows to Miyuki. While he had seen others shake her hand, he had been raised to show a bit of a different touch, when greeting women. "It is good to see you again. It has been a long while since I gave you those coins, back within my world."

Miyuki’s eyes gleamed with recognition. “Alberio!” she cried happily, ignoring his bow and grabbing his hands, eagerly shaking them up and down. “I’m so happy that you came to see me! It’s been too long!”

Headcanons #1 - Get to know Miyuki!

• Miyuki is an extremely bubbly and highly energetic person. She was in a lot of sports clubs at school, but that was mainly due to her lack of academic success. You guessed it right, Miyuki’s a little bit of an airhead.
• Miyuki definitely wants to succeed Matsui Jurina, so she can be the first to succeed the legendary ace of SKE48. However, although she herself isn’t aware of it yet, she harbours some deep doubt over whether she’s truly good enough to do so.
• Miyuki’s current favourite member of AKB0048 is Oshima Yuko the 9th, and her favourite member of all time is, of course, the original Matsui Jurina.
• Miyuki is a prodigious eater.Her friends sometimes laughed at her because she eats so much, and joked that it was because she was trying to fill her empty stomach in order to compensate for an empty brain. Miyuki, of course, fiercely denies it.
  
• Miyuki’s natural hair colour is red, but she was born with the yellow fringe that she just can’t see to get rid of, no matter how hard she tries.
• Miyuki’s aunt was a kenkyuusei in 0048, but she never succeeded anyone and graduated as a KKS. However, she did have a kirara follow her around, and that kirara has now taken to following Miyuki instead. The kirara is not Miyuki’s, but rather her aunt’s - Miyuki is unaware of its existence.
  
• Miyuki is rather naive and childish, a completely opposite of what she’s supposed to be like as the oldest member of the 78th generation kenkyuusei.
• On the other hand, Miyuki is very conscious about her height, age, and lack of breasts. Although others have tried to convince her that’s she cute in her own way, she stubbornly believes that because she’s flat chested and taller than most girls (and boys) her age, she has no cuteness factor whatsoever.
• Miyuki’s house is a bit reminiscent of a zoo, except that she exclusively only owns big cats. In fact, they frequently escape from the nearby zoo to invade her house, but Miyuki doesn’t mind at all as she’s used to them.
• Miyuki’s parents were zookeepers at Akibastar’s zoo, taking care of the big cats. However, ever since her father died and her mother was put in a coma, the cats have rejected any attempts by the new zookeepers to get them to stay, and instead insist on staying at their old keeper’s house, which explains the numerous animals at Miyuki’s house.
• Miyuki runs a lemonade stand and has been doing so for the past seven years. It’s the way she makes a living, as well as busking on the streets and doing street entertainment. 
• Miyuki wants no sympathy for having lost her parents. She knows everything happens for a reason, and stubbornly refuses to accept sympathy as she believes that as long as she can get a shot at DES, her parents would be happy.
• Despite what people believe, Miyuki is very happy living by herself and getting a living by doing street entertainment and selling lemonade.

Kojiharu’s last handshake event

Miyuki blinked at herself in the mirror, and splashed her face with some water. This is Kojiharu’s last handshake event before she graduates! Focus, Miyuki! Focus! But it was hard to focus - a lot of things had been on her mind lately. A mind that was usually devoid of anything but food and music.

She swiveled around and walked out of the bathroom into the changing rooms, where several of the other 78th generation girls were getting ready. Miyuki could see that they were all the same as her - nervous, but keen and hopeful. Will I have any fans? Will anyone actually want to shake my hand, or say hi to me? Have I done enough? Miyuki knew that today was supposed to be all about Kojiharu, but she couldn’t help but think of the fact that it wasn’t only Kojiharu’s last handshake event, it was Miyuki's first handshake event. She was just hoping she wasn’t the only one among the 78th generation girls thinking along those lines.

Miyuki opted to go with her usual get-up, not bothering to try and look stunning. She knew that if she had any fans, they would rather see her in her casual wear than all prettied up and looking fake…Or so she hoped. She picked out a pair of short shorts, and put it on over a black tights, then slipped on a simple, loose-fitting t-shirt over that. She put a little more extra effort into her make-up after seeing the effort that the other girls were putting in to look good which made her feel a little underdressed, then walked out of the dorms to stand behind the booth with the other 78th generation girls. She shut her eyes tight as the crowds filtered in, as expected most of them going straight to Kojiharu’s stand. She took a deep breath, opened her eyes, then put on her widest, most inviting smile.

There were some people who passed by the 78th generation kenkyuusei’s booth, but most of them skipped right past her, preferring to go with the more naturally cute girls, like Kaori, Seika, and Tochi. She sighed a bit. Of course. I probably look really out of place here, being so tall and obviously the oldest. And what I’m wearing also sticks out like a sore thumb. Occasionally, someone stopped in front of her - the first time this happened, she almost cried in relief and instead of giving them a handshake, hugged the surprised person instead. After that, it was much easier, and she graciously accepted the people who shook her hand, few as they were. This is for Kojiharu! I can’t be thinking of my own fans right now…This is all for her!

Miyuki nodded to herself, and smiled at the next person who had stopped in front of her. “Thank you so much for coming, and for supporting me! What’s your name?”

Miyuki’s (belated) birthday celebration!

Miyuki woke up and got out of bed, rubbing her eyes. She moaned in distress as she realised what day it was. ‘August the 5th, huh? Guess it’s my birthday…' She trundled down the stairs from her bedroom, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. As always, there was noone there in her house with her, noone to greet her with a 'Happy Birthday!’ or to hug her and wish her all the best. But she was used to it - she had been alone for the past seven years. What did she expect from her 18th birthday, even if it meant that she was a woman now? It wasn’t like her mother was going to miraculously recover. It wasn’t like her father would come back from the dead. She was alone, even on her birthday.

She opened the front door, picking up the presents and cards that she got from the neighbours every year on this day - they would leave them at her door, instead of coming in and celebrating with her. It had been the same for the past seven years. She had always been alone on her birthdays.

But this year, it was different. Miyuki could feel it, and she hoped and prayed that someone, anyone, of her new friends would remember. After all, she was in 0048 now, and it was a family…And family didn’t forget, right?

She walked the short distance from her house to the dorms; she was, as far as she knew, the only one would occasionally leave the dorms at night to sleep in her own bed, as she only lived 10 minutes away. She took a deep breath, and opened the door of the dorm…And found the entrance corridor completely empty. She frowned, feeling that something was off.

She wandered up to her dorm room, hoping to find some of her roommates there, but…still empty. The room next door, also empty. Blinking, she sleepily dragged her feet along to the dining room, hoping to at least get some breakfast there before starting the day. She opened the door to the dining room, and…got a face full of confetti and a loud chorus of 'Happy Birthdays!’ from what appeared the be the entire 0048 group. Miyuki blinked several times rapidly, then broke down in tears of happiness, feeling that she had finally found her family again.

Anyone want to RP?

//Not sure if it’s because a lot of people have yet to realise that notes now go under “Activity” rather than in “Posts”, but it appears as though all but 2 of my threads just died overnight. So does anyone else that I haven’t RP'ed with yet want to go? I’ll make a starter, just like this post. Any fandom welcome, not just 0048, and I’ll base it in your galaxy if you know nothing about 0048.

Home planet: “I was born and raised on Akibastar, and haven’t ever left it, so these auditions are kind of scary for me because I know that 0048 travel the entire universe.”

Favourite ***48 song: “I love Heavy Rotation! And Uza! Ah! River! Beginner! It’s unfair for you to tell me to choose a favourite, y'know? All the songs are so great!”

Audition song: “I auditioned with Heavy Rotation. I’m really hoping I get through.”

Who do you want to succeed: “I admire and love the original Matsui Jurina, to the point that I stole her catchphrase, tehee~ Although succeeding Yuko or Sae would be a great honour too!”

AKB0048 is unique - what can you bring to the group that we don’t already have: “What can I bring? Lots and lots of love! I love my fans, I love the members, I love music, and I love cooking! But that’s probably already present in 0048, isn’t it? I can feel the love that everyone has. I’m energetic and bubbly, and I can juggle! Noone can juggle in the group, right? Wait, someone can? Uhh…I can make great lemonade! What I bring is really up to you to see. I think that what an idol brings to the stage is for her fans to decide, since it has to be something that she doesn’t have to force herself to do, something that is part of her. And sometimes, you can’t see that yourself. Sometimes, it’s your fans who see the best of you, see the part of you that is the entire you.”

What do you hope to achieve in AKB0048: “I want to become a successor first and foremost, obviously! But what I really want to do is go around and spread the love that 0048 brings people. That miraculous moment when everyone in the concert is on the same wavelength, that is magical. That’s something I want to achieve on a nightly basis, concert to concert. I really want to connect to the fans, and I want to do it in a way that transcends even the original members!”
