dozima:

It is now January first, the time of joy, the time of the fanciful fests, the time of a resolution— well, according to sixty percent of all humanity, even DES soldiers for crying out loud. Even so, Umi had no interest in the New Year’s or any of sort and she always hated the atmosphere.

But this New Year’s was kind of relaxing, of how she can hear the distant sound of the fireworks beaming into the sky. She could also see a lot of fireworks through the window near her bed. Some of the members and trainees headed out and some didn’t. It was nice, but she still doesn’t have a resolution in mind.

She sighed as she headed towards the kitchen for a little snack. She opened the fridge, grabbing a fresh apple and single-mindedly bit the apple. Once she slammed the fridge shut, a person stood right next to her. “Woah—! You really scared me…“ she panted, chuckling a bit afterwards.

Jurina was quietly sitting still and thinking (for once). She was in her favourite part of the dorms - the dining room, simply because she ate so damn much. Today was no different; she was nibbling on a plateful of food which she deemed a snack whilst others would see it as a full meal.

But she was also thinking.

‘What’s my New Years resolution?' Her one last year, had of course been to get into 0048 ever since she heard that they were taking new kenkyuusei. She had gone to that and far beyond, being the first to succeed Jurina. But what should she aim for now? She knew that realistically, the Centre Nova position was still out of reach - Chieri had a deathgrip on it, with Acchan and Yuuko in hot pursuit.

She sighed and got up, going to the kitchen for more food as she thought it out. Seeing the fridge already open and a girl rummaging around in it, she had the sudden urge to sexually harass her by hitting her behind, which was poking out of the fridge. Before she could follow up on the strange urge however, the girl stood up.

"Did I?” Jurina said melancholy, nibbling on the remains that were still on her plate. “Sorry 'bout that. Whatcha doing, Umi-chan?” she asked, finally recognising the girl as a member of the 76th generation kenkyuusei, Dozima Umi.
