Not just a regular fever…?

Having successfully convinced her friends (or so she thought) that she was alright and that the fever was just a passing thing, Miyuki ended up attending dance practice. Her movements though, were sluggish and slow, to the point where she was reprimanded several times by a surprised Ritsuko-sensei - after all, Miyuki definitely wasn’t someone who was usually associated with the words ‘low energy’. But that was exactly what was happening with her today, and the result was showing in her dance.

She sat down on the floor during one of the breaks, breathing hard with her head in her hands. She had never felt this tired before after a mere 30 minutes of dancing - she didn’t even think she felt this tired after the entire session. Her headache had, in the meantime, gotten worse, and her face was flushed, covered with droplets of sweat. She realised then that Ritsuko had left the room, and five minutes later, returned with…

…Tsubasa.

Miyuki groaned.

‘Was I really that bad that she had to bring Tsubasa in?' Miyuki thought, as the teacher appeared to whisper something to Tsubasa while pointing at Miyuki. She stood up slowly, and almost stumbled right into Tsubasa. “Hi there, Tsubasa-san,” she said, smiling weakly, a shadow of her usual cheeky grin. “Come to discipline me on my terrible dancing?”

Tsubasa’s lips twitched. On one hand, she wanted to yell at her for not being sensible and trying to push through an illness, but on the other, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes. True to the name alright.

“We have things to discuss, Miyuki. Come along.” The blonde left the practice room and waited outside the door for the kenkyuusei. “You won’t need your things, one of your room mates can take them back to your room later.”

Such a rush. She was mentally going through the things that were happening - Miyuki with a fever, the girl’s in the temple setting things up, staff above ground preparing a concert and getting ready to promote, and the rest of the girl’s just thinking Miyuki was ill and in trouble.

Miyuki could feel the worried looks of some of the girls in the room there with her. They were her friends, after all - it must’ve been dead obvious to them that something was wrong with her, no matter how much she tried to tell them otherwise. But to be called out by Tsubasa…

'Was it really that bad?' Miyuki thought, worried for the first time. 'Does she know something about this fever that I don’t? Or have my countless pranks finally been caught out…?' Truthfully, Miyuki had stopped with her crazy pranks when she got into 0048, but she still didn’t want anyone finding out that she had chased out several teachers in her old school with her antics.

“O…Okay,” Miyuki said, following Tsubasa out the door. She could only see the manager’s back, and not her face, so she couldn’t tell whether she was angry or not. Her vision blurred over slightly, and she staggered. “S-sorry. Lost my balance for a second.” Breathing in deeply, she stood up straight and continued to follow the blonde, wondering what exactly she was in for.
