“Sure has!” Miyuki said, slumping down on the couch beside Chieri, grinning. She was happy just being near Chieri or Acchan - in her mind, she still saw them as the main reason that she chased her dream of being an idol in the first place.

“Been busy, hasn’t it?” Miyuki replied, pondering. “Well, it just seems that way for a new kenkyuusei like me anyhow~! It’s probably normal for you and the successors, huh? It’s gonna take a while to adjust to all this, it’s still pretty overwhelming. But…” She playfully poked Chieri. “I won’t forget that promise that I’m gonna work hard to surpass you, Ms. Centre Nova!”

“I suppose thats true. Being busy becomes normal after a while. Its not necessarily bad either, just a bit exhausting.” Chieri stopped for a moment. “I wonder how quickly Tochi will adapt?”

Chieri smirked in response. “I wouldn’t expect anything less! If you wanna get to the top, you gotta work your way up! But while you’re still working at it, I’ll keep cementing my own path!”

“Exhausting, frustrating, tiring, and sometimes makes you want to give up…” Miyuki murmured. “That’s how my aunt described being an idol, the part of being an idol that most people don’t know about. But the end result’s always worth it, isn’t it? If we’re doing it all for the fans, then I think that even if we have to go through a lot of bad times, it will still be fun in the end when we’re up on stage, or at a handshake event, or even just getting a fan letter.”

“As for Tochi, I’m sure she’ll adjust!” Miyuki said brightly, full faith in her friend. “I’m a bit jealous that she succeeded before I did, but hey, Acchan succeeded before you did, right? And you’re still Centre Nova! It just shows that succession ain’t everythin’, ya know?” A bit of the kansai dialect crept into Miyuki’s voice, although she didn’t notice. “An’ ya can be sure that I’ll work my way up! My time’s limited, so I gotta work even harder!”
