Succession

shimotsukitochi:

As time moved on, Tochi began to realize she didn’t really have a gameplan in mind as to what she wanted to do as a member of 00, let alone who she wanted to succeed. It was true that she knew now that not everyone went into 00 knowing who they wanted to succeed, and it was true that she probably wouldn’t succeed anyone for a good long while.

Well, that was alright, she supposed. She wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon, despite how many times Tochi had been convinced she was going to get kicked out. That had to count for something, right?

As it was, because of this, she didn’t really think much of it when she woke up feeling a little… off, other than that apparently, she had picked up something from when they were performing on Retrostar. She rarely got sick, outside of the occasional seasonal cold, though certainly, Tochi would always try to fake being sick to get out of going to school, especially if she had a large project due that she hadn’t finished yet. Unfortunately, her sister was too smart to be fooled, but it was always worth a shot.

Maybe she also shouldn’t have stayed up all night trying to finish a speedrun of Mana Khemia, but she wanted to try finishing Pamela’s route in one go and clear the bonus dungeon. Well, at least it was a day off- Ritsuko-sensei was a fairly lenient person, Tochi knew by now, but she doubted Tsubasa-san would be that understanding.

Heaving a sigh, Tochi hoped that whatever it was that she had picked up would go away soon… and that maybe they should turn away fans who might be contagious from future concerts.

Miyuki barreled into the room that she shared with Seika and Tochi, airheaded and full of energy as ever. Being the moron that she was, she didn’t notice at all that Seika was feeling sick, and immediately flopped onto her roommate’s bed, acting ten years younger than her actual age.

“Heya, Tochi-chan!” Miyuki giggled. She was in high spirits today - it was a day off, and she was hoping that she could finally have some time to spend with either Tochi or Seika, something that was rare in between all the lessons and concert preparations they went through. She had noticed that Tochi had been up all night, playing some sort of game on one of those reaaaaaaally old Playstation consoles, the type that people still used when humans lived on Earth. Frankly, Miyuki was surprised that the thing still ran. Nevertheless, she put the all-nighter to the reason for Tochi’s pale complexion…Or so she thought, until she tugged at Tochi’s hand to pull her out of bed and realised, alarmingly, that it was red-hot. She yelped and quickly put a hand to Tochi’s head, confirming with dread that the other girl had an extremely high fever, and it seemed to only be getting higher. “T-Tochi-chan! You have a really high fever! We need to go see a doctor!”
