Five strangers entered Oohashi..

Miyuki looked around nervously in the apartment, as though looking for listening devices. She was extremely wary - DES had sprung up as early as 2030 in the record books, but some historians had argued that they had been around for much longer than that. They should technically be harmless at the moment, as they were yet to become the superpower that they would become, but Miyuki’s natural instinct was still to stay on watch for them.

She sighed and loosened up a bit, then sat down on the floor. “Taiga, I don’t know if I can trust you or not, so I’m might be making a big mistake here. You might turn me in to some bad people, or you simply just might not believe me at all. I need you to broaden your ways of thinking, beyond the logic of your world and its sciences.“ She took a deep breath. “I’m part of an idol group called AKB0048. We are linked to the AKB48 of your time, the idol megagroup that should currently be massive in Japan. In fact, AKB0048 was created after…” She hesitated, as though thinking twice about what she was going to say, then pressed onwards. “It was created after Earth was destroyed. I’m from the future, Taiga.“ She shut her eyes, praying that Taiga wasn’t a part of DES, and letting her last sentence sink in. She knew that she would probably be asked to prove it, or be kicked out, and she was hoping that there was enough energy from the Earth’s current atmosphere to power her outfit or her microphone.

Taiga noticed Miyuki’s nervous vive as they entered her apartment, but decided it would be best to not say anything. She shuffled her feet over to her couch, and collapsed on it as if she had just returned from a marathon. She fixed her position so she as now lying on  her side, and watched at the girl sat herself onto the floor. But before she could offer her a seat on the couch ro sofa, Miyuki started to talk.

She laid quietly as the girl explained to her what seemed like a movie plot. It took awhile for her to understand and imagine what she was saying. She had a horrible time trying to believe anything that had came out of the girls lips.

"The earth was destroyed?” Taiga echoed, and sat silently for a moment. “Are you one of those people who talk about judgment day outside on the streets?“

Miyuki shook her head desperately. "No, no!” She had expected Taiga not to believe her - after all, this was 2013 Japan. It was decades behind where she had come from, and from what she had learned in the history lessons that she had actually bothered attending, the people of this time were skeptical about anything that didn’t have a viable scientific explanation. Of course, that had gone out the window with the discovery of the mysterious kirara, but that was yet to happen, and wouldn’t happen for several more decades.

“Ah, ah…I can prove it to you, I think!” Miyuki said desperately, glancing around and spotting a newspaper. The date on it said ‘July 30th, 2013’. Miyuki’s eyes widened. 'This is only a few days after the original Mariko-sama graduated! Damn, if it had only been before that…I could’ve quoted Mariko’s entire graduation speech to Taiga, word to word, before it even happened.' She whipped her head around the room, looking for something else, then remembered. 'Ah! My costume! I hope it still works…’

She closed her eyes and started humming slowly, the soft melody that preluded AKB48’s song, 'Gingham Check’. The outfit responded almost immediately to Miyuki’s intense relief, warping around her as its shape and colour changed into the uniform that 0048 members wore for the song.
