“The hospital…?” she kept her face in a force smile trying not to show her fear. How bad could it be? I mean Akibastar must had a limit to how many insane animals you could have in your house right? She focused her energy on the 0048 poster that were on the walls trying to keep calm. Usually Rinne wasn’t scared of a lot of things but this for once in her life scared her. Whatever was in that room could lead her into the hospital.. Not the big cats… But whatever was in that room.. She sighed and looked at Miyuki. “Okay.”
Miyuki put a finger up to her mouth, signaling Rinne to be quiet as she slowly opened the door. “She might be asleep right now, so make sure not to wake her,” Miyuki whispered. “She gets moody very quickly if woken up suddenly."
She inched the door open slowly, and peeked inside, then gestured for Rinne that it was safe to go in. The room was a complete mess, just like downstairs, except the difference here was that Miyuki had kept her bed and the floor completely clean…Except for the clothing that had been stuffed under her bed, and the obviously overflowing closet, as well as the desk which had a stacks of paper on it. "Ah, that’s the homework I haven’t done so far this year,” Miyuki muttered, staring at the paper. “Not like I’m gonna do them anyw-” She was interrupted by a blur of movement in the corner of her eye, and she was immediately on the ground again, having been tackled down for the second time in 5 minutes. The animal that was on her was something that no-one on Akibastar had probably seen before - it was a weird mix between a large feline panther-lookalike, but covered with red scales instead of fur. It didn’t have any claws, but instead had huge paws that were bigger than even Sasha’s, the lion who was downstairs. They looked as though they could crush a human just by themselves, and Miyuki was right under them. Two angular objects on its back proved to be wings as it unfurled them, and they stretched up to the ceiling when fully unfurled.
Miyuki seemed to be perfectly unperturbed, however. She frowned up at the creature, and hit it square on the forehead with a karate chop. “Maki! Off!” The creature begrudgingly let her go, then turned its eyes on Rinne who was at the doorway. Miyuki whistled. “Maki! Down!” The creature slowly laid down on its paws, still staring at Rinne as though considering her to bed food. Miyuki sighed, and sat down next to it. “This is Maki. I have no idea what she is, but she didn’t come from the zoo for sure. She’s probably from another planet, because I found her as a cub near the ‘Flying Get’ 7 years ago, so she might have gotten stuck on the ship or something then wandered out, getting lost. She’s not why we’re here though, there’s one more thing. And don’t worry, the next thing won’t bite.”
