“Roger!” Kaori said cheerfully. “I hope to meet a lot of your mates. I can’t wait~“ the turquoise-haired girl squealed in a sorta, creepy way. She’s the freak of the freaks, anyways. “I know, right? I don’t get why people are scared of them these days. Yes, some of them may be harmful, but that doesn’t mean that we humans get to kill them every time we see them? Just let them live outside. And I always do that, caring for the little creatures! Heheh.” she briefly said and shrugged her shoulder.
“Ahahah - you’re right!” she enthusiastically grinned. As Miyuki took a bite of the cookie, her heart lifted with glee, seeing the girl’s munching face. “I don’t know what you’re saying, but it doesn’t matter, Miyuchan.“ she said whilst giggling afterwards. Taking the huge jar, she spun across the dining room, conveniently stopped as she faced the door to the lounge. “Let’s go~!” the girl opened the door, running clumsily towards the other girl as some cautioned her that it was dangerous. Luckily, she didn’t fall and ruin the cookies.
“H-here, minna! We made you guys some cookies for welcoming the official 78th generation. Please enjoy it!!” she handed the cookies to the girls. Seeing their reactions made her smile warmly. “Looks like this plan succeeded!” she happily thought, pinching Miyuki’s cheeks while grinning. “Looks like our mission is done, now let’s go see those ‘friends’ of yours, shall we?“
"Perfect! I think they’ll love you, then!” Miyuki said brightly.
She followed Kaori out the door, still munching on the cookie which she had stuffed into her mouth. She made sure to keep her hands out in front of her as Kaori’s running seemed rather clumsy holding the cookie jar, getting ready to catch the other girl if she tripped and fell.
Miyuki happily viewed the other kenkyuusei eat the cookies, although she grimaced a little every time someone at one of her kittens. ‘Dammit. Shouldn’t have put so much effort into making them look real,' Miyuki thought. She didn’t say anything though, partly because her mouth was still full.
She quickly swallowed the remainder of the cookie, grinned at Kaori and grabbed her hand, leading her to the dorm room which Miyuki now shared with Tochi, Seika, and one other girl she had yet to meet. Luckily, there wasn’t anyone in the room - she quickly closed the door behind her, reached under the bed and pulled out a small box with a padlock on it, heavily chained shut except for a tiny air hole at the top. She opened it with a key hung around her neck, and winked at Kaori, then revealed the contents inside.
A small, patterned snake dominated most of the room inside the box, taking up half of the space. It was sealed off from the top left-hand corner, where two mice stared curiously up at the two girls. The bottom half of the left-hand side contained a dangerous-looking spider marked red and black, another similar looking one but with yellow instead of red markings, and three smaller, harmless looking spiders that kept their distance from the two larger ones.
“Tadaaa~!” Miyuki said with a flourish. “Just don’t open the containers to touch them yet, I gotta give them a sign that you’re friendly. None of them are poisonous, but their bites still hurt.”
