Miyuchan spots Chieri!
“Yeah, and your seniors!” Miyuki said, pointing at her. “I’m older! Wait a second, that’s not a good thing…And I’m your junior in 0048!“ She looked confused while pondering it, then shrugged and decided to give up on trying to puzzle it out. If anything, Miyuki wasn’t the subtle, thinking type.
"Of course, that’s what we’re aiming to do!” Miyuki said, pumping her fist enthusiastically. “Change the future, spread our ideals and beliefs, and make people view entertainment as something pure and beautiful! Our generations have been caught in turmoil and war, but I’m sure that the future ones will be able to simply sing and dance, what AKB48 was created to do. But what I’m worried about is what happens after that. At some stage, if - no, whenwe defeat DES completely and re-establish entertainment again across the universe…What if someone thinks that we are the tyrants?“ She looked worried for a second, then shrugged it off. “Whatever, I’m sure that won’t happen…And even if it does, Tsubasa-san will fix it! She always does! I’ll just be here, barreling forward recklessly without thinking like I always do!”
A kirara poked its head out from behind Miyuki as she was speaking, although she didn’t appear to notice it. In fact, it had been following her for a while now, but always seemed to be in hiding - it was as though Miyuki herself hadn’t fully accepted that she could be radiant yet, despite what she was saying, and there was some sort of invisible barrier she had yet to break before the kirara would fully show itself.
Chieri laughed. “Thats a bit confusing, isn’t it? But you’re still my junior kenkyuusei!“
"Tyrants?” Chieri looked thoughtful. “Well, thats true. But I guess that comes down to the individual. Anyone who forces something on another person is a tyrant, so we would be - its up to the individual’s own beliefs if we’re forcing something good or bad on them though.“ She smiled and nodded as Miyuki continued. “Tsubasa won’t let anyone tarnish our name. She’s smart and confident and she always has a back up plan for everything!”
Chieri saw the kirara behind the girl’s head. She didn’t say anything, though her own came out to zoom around with it. It seems each generation is becoming brighter. Its like everyone is starting to realise they can make a difference, and their passion and determination grows.
“I…I don’t think entertainment could ever be a bad thing,” Miyuki said thoughtfully. “How could something that brings so many people happiness be a bad thing? But there are people who think differently…Well, there are always haters!” Miyuki clenched her fist, nodding to herself. “But what we have to do is what Orine did - turn those haters into fans!”
Miyuki laughed a little at the confidence Chieri had in Tsubasa. “Personally, I haven’t had a chance to meet Tsubasa yet, except at the second stage of the auditions where she set loose a giant robot on a group of teenage girls,” Miyuki said jokingly. But Tsubasa was well chronicled as a manager of AKB, with some even calling her the greatest ever after Aki-P - not many other managers had managed to bring out the potential of a group of kenkyuusei like Tsubasa had done with the 77th generation. And what I hope she’s going to do with the 78th. Miyuki thought.
She turned around as Chieri’s kirara zoomed out and circled around to the back of her head, blinking as she tried to spot was Chieri was looking at and what her kirara was so interested in. Like always, Miyuki’s own kirara ducked out of her sight and went into hiding before Miyuki could see it, and Miyuki only saw Chieri’s kirara floating there, looking a bit confused. She turned back to Chieri, the same confused expression on her face. “What was so interesting there? I didn’t see anything!”
