Miyukin spots Megu!
Miyuki chattered all the way back to the dorms - it was mostly about stuff like clothes, music, and what she thought about the successors and 0048 in particular, and when she wasn’t talking, she was humming to herself. Miyuki wasn’t the type who could keep quiet for long - she found silence deafening and imposing, and reminded her of her empty house where she lived alone.
“…and that’s why I think Takamina should really look up some fashion magazines!” Miyuki concluded, after a long speech about how Takamina was probably the most fashion-blind person in 0048, along with Yukirin - after all, there had to be a reason why Sayaka called them the ‘Twin Towers of bad fashion’. They had reached the dorms as Miyuki had chattered away, and she suddenly looked a bit awed entering the dorms. “Wow…Entering the dorms as a member of 0048 instead of as part of a tour group…" Miyuki murmured, looking up at the building.
Megu listened as Miyuki chatted when walking back. She pretended to seem interested as the other girl chatted about random things. ‘How did she go from talking about music to Sayaka saying something about some ‘Twin Towers of bad fashion’ anyways?’ she thought as they walked. At last, they reached the dorms and walked inside. “It’s been a long day today, Miyuki-san. Let’s rest for tomorrow, alright?“ she said with a smile.
Miyuki always chattered, even it was to herself - she wasn’t really aware whether the other person was interested or even listening. She just liked having someone to talk to, after all the years of living by herself. A shadow passed over her face as she thought about it, then she shrugged it off. I have friends now. I’m not alone anymore in 0048, she thought fiercely, convincing herself.
"Alright, rest time!” she said, agreeing. “Although I’m not sure how exactly I’m going to sleep on all these bruises.”
