The new generation
Lovetan was relieved that Miyuki was listening to her advice immediately.
However she noticed that she suddenly started to hum shoujotachi yo and even mimed the dance steps.She carefully observed the Kenkyuusei doing so and even though she didn’t really understand the reason behind all this she didn’t really question it.
“You’re training pretty often, right? Even practising dance moves during a normal conversation shows really hard work.”, she commented on what she saw having huge recognition in her voice.
“Well…you really did your homework on 0048, as I can see.”, she nodded, smiling. She couldn’t say anything against that. When she became a Kenkyuusei she probably already knew every member and the whole group history as well. hat wasn’t solely her doing though. Her father has taught her everything about 0048 starting from a very little age and she had been a fan ever since. Her parents’ house wasn’t really full with merchandise because of her mother and younger brother who weren’t into 0048 the way she and her father were but at least her father was one of AKB’s hardcore wotas.
She giggled at Miyuki’s determination to become Jurina the second. Not because she found it funny but she couldn’t help seeing a little of herself as a Kenkyuusei in her speech. “It’s good that you are so determined! I hope you can accomplish your dream. But it will be a pretty long way from here on, so be prepared!“
"Yup, I train every day!” Miyuki said, still humming and dancing. “I never had dance lessons though, and my mirror was much too small for me to practice in front of, so I only have the most basic moves down. "And what do you mean, during normal conver-” She blinked, suddenly realising what she was doing. She stopped abruptly, and tilted her head to one side apologetically. “Sorry about that! I’m never aware of doing that, but apparently I do it a lot…It’s what happens when I’m thinking about 0048! Don’t worry, I’ll try not to do it again!” She nodded her head, as though asserting herself, then almost immediately began to dance and hum again. Again, she appeared to be completely unaware of her own movements.
“Of course,” Miyuki said absentmindedly. “I’ve lived by myself for 7 years now, so there wasn’t really much to do except study 0048. Well…” She winked. “It was that or go to school and study the ‘important subjects’, as my teacher so put it.” Miyuki looked up ponderingly. “I wonder what happened to her. I never saw her at school again after I put that cockroach in her office desk…For the 5th time.”
Miyuki nodded eagerly. “Yup, I know it’ll be a long road, and I’m looking forward to that! But for me, I have to shorten the road! After all, I don’t think I have many good years left in me till I become an old lady.” She covered her mouth in mock shock. “Debuting as a kenkyuusei member at the age of 17? I’m pretty much an old lady already in the idol world!” She grinned playfully. “But you’re still older than me, senpai~”
