Miyuki leaped out of the bunk - harder than it sounds, considering they were in a zero-gravity situation - and hug-tackled Acchan. Surprisingly, tears were flowing down her cheeks out of pure joy. “It doesn’t matter if it was rough, because I had to get through it! I had to come and meet you, and thank you!“ She hugged the other girl tighter, laughing and crying at the same time to the bewilderment of some of the other girls surrounding them. “Thank you, thank you, thank you! The fact that I’m here, the reason I even gathered the confidence to audition for 0048 and chase my dreams, is all thanks to you and Chieri!”
Acchan first stiffened in shock for a moment a the Miyuki’s sudden advance. In that moment as they floated backwards in the space, she was reminded of the reason she herself decided that she would join AKB0048. And yet, here is that reason again mirrored right in front of her, clasping to her, because of her. Realizing this, Acchan returned the hug.
“No, thank you.” She said, silently shedding a tear as her voice began to shake “Because people like you are the reason Chieri and I are Standing here today.“
Miyuki laughed and sobbed at the same time, drawing my bewildered looks. The fact that she was the older of the two, and the taller, was even weirder as Acchan was the one seemingly comforting her.
She shook her head, then smiled brightly, even with tears flowing from her eyes. "I might have helped you get where you are today by being one of the many millions of fans who supported you, but you did much, much more for me.” Her voice started to break a little, despite her attempt at a strong facade. “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t even be here! I was almost going to give up on auditioning for 0048…After all, I’m already 17, and everyone thought that was too old for me to debut as an idol. B-b-but you…Your concert on Akibastar! The one where you became Acchan the 14th! That helped me…so much…i-in ways you wouldn’t believe. Y-you see, my mother was in a coma…But your radiance, the effect of that concert where both you and Chieri shone so brightly, it woke her up, even though it was only for a little while! And she told me to chase my dreams, and disregard everything everyone else was saying.” Her voice had firmed up by now, but the tears were still flowing. “And now I’m here. Thank you. Thank you so much.“ She tried to wipe the tears from her face, to no avail. "But now I’m here, watch out,” she said, grinning through her tears. “Soon, I’ll shine brighter than both you and Chieri! And when that happens, my mum will wake up completely, for sure!”
