Miyuchan spots Chieri!
Miyuki snuck around the dorms, making a lot of noise. Which defeated the purpose of sneaking. She hummed ‘Nagisa no Cherry’ while moving around, not aware of her own humming which completely gave away her position. Nevertheless, her high energy meant that she moved around very fast, and that made up for her noisiness.
“The hunter sneaks through the tall grass, looking for prey,” Miyuki whispered to herself, grinning while parting the leaves of a potted plant and looking through them. She spotted someone turning the corner down the far end of the corridor. “Aha! Target spotted. The hunter readies the trap.“ Miyuki pulled out a rubber spider from her pocket, grinning maniacally. She loved to mess with people and play pranks on them, and all the 0048 girls were so innocent and pure that it made it a lot easier.
She sprinted around the corner, getting ready to throw the rubber spider, then saw who it was, dropped the toy, and shrieked. “Y-y-y-y-you’re Chieri!” She forgot all about the spider, raced up to the centre nova, and grabbed her hands, shaking them enthusiastically. “I’m Takahashi Miyuki, and I’m part of the 78th generation kenkyuus-“ She stopped. Tears were now flowing freely down her face. “I…I wanted to meet you! So much! I wanted to thank you!”
Chieri was walking down the hall when a shriek startled her. Turning around, a young girl came running up to her and grabbed her hands. She was slightly shaken but didn’t really mind (you could see worse at handshake events and in battle after all). The fact that she’s here… a 78th generation girl?
She softly smiled as the girl started to cry. “It’s nice to meet you, Miyuki-chan.“ She wiped the tears away and laughed a bit. “I’d like to introduce myself, but you already know me! But still, thank you. It’s nice to meet someone so honest like you.”
Chieri looked confused. “Thank me? Why?“
Miyuki laughed a little, choked through the tears. It must’ve looked weird to a bystander - Miyuki being comforted by Chieri. Especially with Miyuki being taller and older, but she had never acted her age, and was frequently mistaken as younger than she was, despite her height. But Miyuki looked up to Chieri as an idol, and now a senpai, and wasn’t bothered with being comforted by the younger girl.
"M-Miyuchan is fine,” Miyuki said, still stumbling a bit in her speech thanks to the tears. “A-and I wanted to thank you because if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t even be here! I was almost going to give up on auditioning for 0048…After all, I’m already 17, and everyone thought that was too old for me to debut as an idol. B-b-but you…Your concert on Akibastar! The one where you become Centre Nova! That helped me…so much…i-in ways you wouldn’t believe. Y-you see, my mother was in a coma…But your radiance, the effect of that concert where both you and Nagisa shone so brightly, it woke her up, even though it was only for a little while! And she told me to chase my dreams, and disregard everything everyone else was saying.” Her voice had firmed up by now, but the tears were still flowing. “And now I’m here.”
