Miyuki spots Sashiko!

Miyuki blinked, then gave a little shriek as Sasshi recognised her. ‘Ah. Wait a second. Not Sasshi anymore, she’s…’ Miyuki read the name on the autograph. ‘…Ritsuko Sasaki. Of course! How could I forget that?’ Miyuki nodded eagerly, bobbing up and down with her usual high pace energy.

“Yup, yup! I’m Takahashi Miyuki, part of the 78th generation kenkyuusei! Future Jurina the 2nd, and also the future centre nova!” Miyuki stated, with her natural confidence. In her voice, there was nothing she was unsure about, unlike before she had passed the auditions. Now that she was in 0048, she knew she could succeed, and that was in her voice. She had no doubt whatsoever that what she had said could be achieved, and in her mind, it was only a matter of time.

“Ah, ah! You’re our teacher now? That’s great!” Miyuki said, almost exploding with excitement. “I can’t wait to learn from you, sensei! What are you going to be teaching us first?“

"I see! Well, it’s nice to meet you, Miyuki-chan,” Ritsuko greeted, “You’re welcome to call me Ritsuko or Sasshi- whichever you prefer. I’m certainly not going to correct anyone who wants to call me by my old name,“ she said with a laugh.

“Ah? You want to succeed Jurina?” Ritsuko asked, “Well, I wish you luck with that- and on your goal to be Center Nova! Center Nova is a position many girls strive to obtain, I believe…"

Not her, though, not really. She might have fancied it at one point, when the rumors started, but Ritsuko was never really certain she would ever want to disappear like they did- and Miichan running away like she did sealed that decision.

“I’m sure you’ve heard that there’s new songs being taught, right? Somgs from AKB’s sister groups, underplayed songs in general… I’ve been working on a setlist of those songs, that I plan on teaching. I’m not sure what I’ll be starting with, but I do intend on having all the current kenkyuusei learn ‘Flying Get’, to be performed at your debut concert.“

"Just Miyuchan is fine!” Miyuki said, happy that Ritsuko knew her name now. “And no, I don't want to succeed Jurina!” Miyuki stated, all confidence. “I will succeed Jurina! As for the Centre Nova position…” Miyuki pondered it for a while. “Well, I guess all the other 78th generation girls have a leg-up on me. I think I’m the oldest, after all, so my time is limited compared to theirs.” She poked a tongue out. “I’m turning 18 this year, while the other girls are all under 15, I imagine. But it doesn’t matter! Whoever becomes Centre Nova is whoever shines the brightest, regardless of age! And I know about the phenomenon where the Centre Nova disappears…But I won’t! I swear on it!”

Miyuki’s eyes lit up at the mention of new songs, especially ones from the sister groups. Being an avid fan of both Jurina and the original SKE48, Miyuki had naturally tried to teach herself the SKE setlist as well. “Flying Get? Ah…” Miyuki started humming it, trying to get the starting dance moves right. “La la la la la la la la la…” Her dance was obviously very high energy, as per her personality, but there were a lot of chinks and movements that could be fixed. Miyuki had made an effort beforehand to try and learn at least the basic movements of all the songs that were usually performed, and had partway succeeded - although her dance was still more raw energy than precision, due to no teacher to teach her.

She stopped, remembering that Ritsuko was still there. “Ah…Sorry, Sasshi-sensei! I get sidetracked very easily.”
