The new generation
Miyuki grabbed the other girl’s hands, then suddenly became very conscious of the height difference - Lovetan, at around 148cm, was almost a head shorter than Miyuki, who was at 175cm. She tried her best to make herself look smaller, then gave up and decided to ignore it. She was pretty sure she was taller than almost everyone else, if not everyone else, in 0048. She would have to get used to it - she had always been tall for her age, and her flat chest lended to the view of her friends that if she cut her hair short, she could be mistaken as a guy.Miyuki enthusiastically shook Lovetan’s hands. “No need to thank me for being a fan! I think you’re amazing! I think all the successors are amazing, that they can succeed one of the original AKB48 members! And you’ve already lived up to my expectations of being my senpai, just by being here!“
Miyuki giggled as Lovetan said ‘bubbly’. It was one of the many nicknames her friends had called her, and it was well warranted considering her high-energy personality. “I’m from Akibastar, born and raised there!”
That girl really was something. Even though Lovetan had seen quite a few bubbly people in 0048 up until now she felt like this girl would bring bubbly to a whole new level.
While watching Miyuki trying to adjust to her height she couldn’t help becoming a little embarrassed. Nobody in 00 was a giant but the small successor definitely belonged to the smaller people. Compared to the tall girl in front of her she was clearly a midget. “D-don’t sweat it, alright?“, she said while blushing a little. “Just ignore my height and don’t try to adjust to it in any way. It’s fine…it really is!”, Lovetan didn’t have any sort of complexes with her height like for example Takamina had, but being around someone this tall there was no helping it.
Miyuki’s words were quite flattering and somehow they made Lovetan smile brightly. She knew that girl would probably be one of the few people here, who never get to experience some of her teasing character traits.
“Well, we are the same concerning our hometown then.”,she remarked. “I am from Akibastar as well. So you kinda grew up with 0048 as well, I assume?“, she continued curiously.
"Also…probably everyone here is asking you that question but I can’t help being curious as well; Who do you wanna succeed as?”, since Miyuki’s character really seemed interesting and unique Lovetan really wondered who she would succeed has when the time came.
Miyuki nodded, then promptly forgot all about the height difference. She wasn’t exactly an airhead the way the original Nyan-Nyan was, but she was the type who found it difficult to concentrate on two things at once. And if she was talking with Lovetan, she wouldn’t notice the height difference…as long as she had something else to distract her. And that distraction usually came in the way of a 0048 song. Miyuki started to hum ‘Shoujotachi Yo’, unconscious of the fact that she was humming the song, as well as doing a little dance to it.
“Yup, I knew you were from Akibastar!” Miyuki said happily while twirling, not aware of the fact that she was still dancing and humming. “I made sure to research all my senpais before auditioning! And yup, I grew up with 0048! I went to every concert I could when they were on Akibastar, and my entire room is filled with 0048 posters!” She giggled suddenly. “Well, rather than my entire room, it’d be more accurate to say my entire house…”
“Me? I…!” Miyuki posed, in a way that would be familiar to any original SKE fan. “Want to be Jurina! The first to succeed her name! Jurina the Second! And I’ll also be Centre Nova, and I’ll shine brighter than Chieri and Acchan! Just you watch!” Miyuki’s tone held nothing but determination, with no hint of anything in her voice that said she didn’t believe she could accomplish everything she set out to do. In her mind, she was completely and absolutely sure she could achieve it.
