Kaori smiled as she looked at the other cheerful girl, humming along “Beginner” with the girl. A few minutes passed, the cookie dough is finally done. The turquoise haired girl sighed in content and grabbed the napkin beside her to clean up the counter covered in flour. She grinned enthusiastically when Miyuki handed her the cookie cutters.
“Aren’t they cute, Miyuchan?” she questioned the girl while staring at the bunny shaped cookie cutter, “Next?” she took a momentarily pause, “Ah! How about you roll up the cookie dough while I set up the oven’s temperature? Don’t roll it too thin though!”
Miyuki was surprised when Kaori started humming ‘Beginner’ - after all, she didn’t even notice that she herself was humming it. She joined in, more enthusiastically than before, now that she was aware of her own humming.
“Very cute!” Miyuki agreed, getting excited that they were making progress. And that she hadn’t messed anything up yet, as she usually did. Miyuki grabbed the roller and started pressing it into the cookie dough, trying her hardest to roll it perfectly. After she was satisfied with the result, she carefully took it over to Kaori, who was busy adjusting the oven temperature, and handed it to her as though it was made of fragile glass.
“Oka-!” Miyuki started saying, then noticed a movement out of the corner of her eye. She ducked down, and whispered to Kaori. “I just saw someone come into the dining area.”
