Miyuki spots Sashiko!
Now that the 78th generation had been finalized, Ritsuko looked forward to getting to work with the new girls; she’d been working on finalizing her setlist of songs to teach all current generations of kenkyuusei, but especially looked forward to the day all the girls would perform ‘Flying Get’ on stage, a song she wanted to see performed again (and by the understudies for the 78th gen’s debut. Details were still being worked out as to practice schedules, etc, and so Ritsuko had gone out into town, mostly to take a walk and to see what had changed in the years she had been gone.
The story that she had returned to 00 was fairly widespread by now, and Ritsuko found herself occasionally stopped by fans who wanted to give her their well-wishes for coming back to AKB. It was as it was, then, that when she felt a tap on her shoulder, Ritsuko wasn’t startled, but rather, turned around to see a girl holding out a piece of paper and a pen.
“You’d like an autograph, then?“ Ritsuko repeated, taking the pen from Miyuki. After signing it with both her real name and as Rino Sashihara the 7th, she handed it back to the girl, before realizing something.
“Oh! You’re one of the new kenkyuusei, aren’t you?” she inquired, “I’ve actually come back to 00- not as a successor, but as a teacher… and I’ll be working with you girls!“
She didn’t touch upon the subject of being center nova; back in the day, there had been rumors abound that she’d become the next Center Nova after Yuihan the 6th, but then Miichan had awakened as a Center Nova instead. Ritsuko had, however, taken Center position quite a few times, back when she was still Sashiko the 7th.
Miyuki blinked, then gave a little shriek as Sasshi recognised her. ‘Ah. Wait a second. Not Sasshi anymore, she’s…' Miyuki read the name on the autograph. ’…Ritsuko Sasaki. Of course! How could I forget that?' Miyuki nodded eagerly, bobbing up and down with her usual high pace energy.
"Yup, yup! I’m Takahashi Miyuki, part of the 78th generation kenkyuusei! Future Jurina the 2nd, and also the future centre nova!” Miyuki stated, with her natural confidence. In her voice, there was nothing she was unsure about, unlike before she had passed the auditions. Now that she was in 0048, she knew she could succeed, and that was in her voice. She had no doubt whatsoever that what she had said could be achieved, and in her mind, it was only a matter of time.
“Ah, ah! You’re our teacher now? That’s great!” Miyuki said, almost exploding with excitement. “I can’t wait to learn from you, sensei! What are you going to be teaching us first?”
