Miyuki slumped back into her seat, yawning. Another long shift at her lemonade stand was over, and with the amount of money she had saved up, she should be able to pay off her mother’s hospital fees completely. Smiling, she looked up at the sky, which was always clear thanks to Akibastar’s weather-control system. Almost there. In a few days, I’ll know…I’ll know whether I made it or not.

In her reverie, she almost missed an extremely familiar person walk by. Snapping to attention, her eyes widened. “Megu? You’re Megu, right? I’d know you anywhere! You’re part of the 76th generation kenkyuusei!“ Miyuki leapt up and over her stand, scrambled around in her pockets for pen and paper to get an autograph, and then stopped as she realized how rude she was being. “A-ah. I’m sorry, I haven’t even introduced myself yet. I’m Takahashi Miyuki, and I auditioned for the 78th generation.” She extended her hand, grinning widely. “Nice to meet you! Hope we get to be fellow members!“

Megu was shopping a bit and found only a few items that interested her. ‘Today was so boring,’ she thought. The girl sighed and started to walk back to the dorms when she heard some one shout her name.

The brunette turned around and saw an unknown girl standing from behind some lemonade stand. She seemed like she wanted an autograph, judging from how she was upturning her pockets to find something to write with.

I’m Takahashi Miyuki, and I auditioned for the 78th generation.

"Oh, you’re going to be in the 78th generation? It’s nice to meet you, Miyuki-san.” Megu took her extended hand and shook it. “Are you a fan of mine since you knew me by just a glance?“

Miyuki bobbed up and down excitedly. She was the type of girl who had to continuously be moving in order to expend her huge supply of energy, although she had been told before that too much energy could be a bad thing.

"A-ah, not going to be!” Miyuki said, laughing nervously. “Just hoping to be, more like. I mean, i auditioned and everything, but I already seem to be older than most of the 76th and 77th generation kenkyuusei, so I’m worried that I may be too old to debut. But no negative thoughts! Think in the present, positive thoughts to the future!” She began to do a little dance on the spot, humming the tune of ‘Oogoe Diamond’ while doing so.

“Yes, yes! I’ve been a fan of 0048 since forever! It was really heartbreaking that Youko…Ah, I mean Sae now, was the only successor from the 76th generation. You were all so talented and cute! I always used to watch you guys on TV and the big screens, and I loved how you performed! To meet with one of my potential senpais is…” She finished her little dance with a flourish, seemingly unaware that she had been dancing at all. “…awesome!”
